Regular AC Maintenance: Air conditioning systems need regular maintenance to operate at peak performance like any other car component. Servicing Your HVAC System: Unlike regular maintenance, an AC recharge may not be necessary since the system is sealed and should not leak. However, certain components in the system need regular cleaning and disinfecting due to new illnesses being spread around. If a AC system is low it can mean there is a leak, possibly from the AC service port valves. This is pretty common and why we change them out at every AC service. We also add a dye during the service to more easily detect any future leaks.
Change your Cabin Filter: The cabin filter is extremely important to the quality of you air conditioning. It cleans the air in the passenger cabin and as it gets filled and ultimately clogged, it will impede the flow of air through the ducts/vents. Everyone in your vehicle should be breathing healthy air and the cabin filter helps provide that clean air. A clogged cabin filter will also force the AC system to work harder, increasing the chance of an early system failure.
